What will be the role of Brazilian startups in the AI race?

It's not news that VC funds are seeking AI startups. However, those expecting extremely disruptive businesses with the best AI models in Brazil might be mistaken. 

The focus is on startups utilizing technology to create tools incorporating AI to conquer the local market.

This insight comes from managers at General Atlantic, Atlantico and Monashees, who believe that AI in Latin America is in its early stages and therefore, Brazilian startups are not leading this race.

YDUQS and EDP launch open innovation challenges

YDUQS has an open call for the "Quality of Service Monitoring" challenge. The corporation aims to connect with startups offering solutions that provide insights and analysis on customer service and satisfaction monitoring. Interested startups can apply until February 29.

EDP has launched another new challenge: "Sustainable Bee Management in the Power Distribution Network." For this challenge, EDP is looking for startups capable of conducting a pilot project for sustainable bee management. In addition to connecting with the corporation, startups will receive BRL 100K in incentives.
